Bruce LaBruce's
No Skin Off My Ass

A co-presentation with the Queer Zine Archive Project & the Milwaukee LGBT Film/Video Festival

A rare screening of the seminal—and sweet—punk classic!

No Skin Off My Ass
from No Skin Off My Ass
A Karen Carpenter-loving gay hairdresser falls helplessly in love with a stray skinhead who he invites into his home. LaBruce's daring, very funny, sexually upfront, and, indeed, strikingly romantic film—a remake, in fact, of Robert Altman's "That Cold Day in the Park—is per Amy Taubin, then of the Village Voice, "sweeter than Warhol, subtler than Kuchar, sexually more explicit than Van Sant." (16mm on DVD, b&w/sound, 73 min., 1991)

After screening party & opening!
After the screening, join us at Rhizome Space Gallery for the opening of an exhibit of queer 'zine art work, culled from the Queer Zine Archive Project's collection of 'zines and other works submitted by queer zinesters. The reception is at Rhizome Gallery and starts at 8:30pm. Rhizomes Space Gallery is located at 3172 N Bremen St. For more information visit QZAPs site
